"Occupational Hazard" showcases Unsane's signature blend of noise rock and post-hardcore, characterized by a raw, abrasive sound that captures the intensity of their live performances. The production is gritty and unpolished, enhancing the visceral quality of tracks like "Committed" and "Sick." Guitars are heavily distorted, creating a dense wall of sound that complements the relentless drumming and throaty vocals. The tempo varies, with tracks like "This Plan" and "Over Me" driving forward with an urgent energy, while others like "Smells Like Rain" introduce a more atmospheric, brooding texture. The album's distinctive quality lies in its ability to balance chaos and melody, making it a compelling listen for fans of the genre.
