"Unsane" is a raw and aggressive exploration of noise rock, characterized by its gritty production and heavy instrumentation. The album features a relentless barrage of distorted guitars, pounding drums, and abrasive bass lines, creating an overwhelming sonic landscape. Tracks like "Maggot" and "Exterminator" showcase a frenetic energy, with tempos that oscillate between chaotic bursts and more measured, brooding moments. The textures are thick and claustrophobic, often layered with feedback and dissonance, giving a sense of urgency and tension. The distinctive sound lies in its ability to blend punk energy with a more experimental edge, resulting in an unyielding auditory experience that captures the essence of early '90s underground rock.
