"Scattered, Smothered & Covered" showcases Unsane's signature blend of noise rock and post-hardcore, characterized by a raw, unpolished production style that enhances its visceral impact. The album features heavy, distorted guitar riffs and a relentless rhythm section, creating a dense sonic landscape that feels both chaotic and immersive. Tracks like "Scrape" and "Get Off My Back" drive forward with an aggressive tempo, while "Empty Cartridge" introduces a moment of tension with its slower, more brooding pace. The energy throughout is palpable, with abrasive textures and a sense of urgency that permeates each song. The album's distinctive sound lies in its ability to balance harshness with moments of introspection, making it a compelling listen for fans of the genre.
