"The Ossuary Lens" showcases Allegaeon's signature blend of technical death metal and progressive elements, characterized by intricate guitar work and dynamic tempo shifts. The production is polished, allowing the complex layers of instrumentation to shine through, with sharp, precise riffs in tracks like "Chaos Theory" and "Dark Matter Dynamics." The energy fluctuates between aggressive bursts and atmospheric interludes, particularly in "Driftwood" and "Carried by Delusion," where melodic passages contrast with heavier sections. Textures are rich, with a mix of clean and growled vocals, creating a haunting depth, especially in "Dies Irae" and "Scythe." The album stands out for its seamless transitions and the way it balances brutality with melodic sophistication.
