"Trails & Passes" presents a rich tapestry of stoner rock infused with a blend of heavy riffs and melodic undertones. The production is polished yet retains a raw edge, allowing the gritty guitar tones to shine through. Tracks like "Our Mother Ash" and "Depth of the Sun" feature dynamic shifts, oscillating between driving tempos and more contemplative passages, creating a sense of ebb and flow. The use of layered instrumentation, including thick bass lines and atmospheric synths, enhances the sonic depth, while tracks such as "Humans" and "With Eyes Wide Open" introduce a more introspective vibe. Overall, the album's distinctive sound lies in its ability to balance heaviness with melodic exploration, making it a compelling listen.
