Description: The Grand Leveller is the second album by the death metal band Benediction and the first to feature Dave Ingram on vocals. It was released on Nuclear Blast in 1991. The album was re-issued with The Grotesque Ashen Epitaph EP and the song "We Are the League" (a cover of the Anti-Nowhere League) in 1998 by Nuclear Blast as a digipak.

In 2008 the album was re-issued again as a single compilation disc that included the Subconscious Terror LP, the Dark Is the Season EP, and The Grotesque Ashen Epitaph EP.

Artist Background: Formed in 1989, and after many years doing the rounds under other names, BENEDICTION, as we know it, was formed and the band was quickly picked up by German underground Metal label Nuclear Blast Records, a partnership that lasts to this day. BENEDICTION have since gone on to release many acclaimed albums and are now recognized as one of the originals in the death metal scene. They do however continually strive to deliver the goods and are still to this day thoroughly enthused by what they do ... Part of the Birmingham, West Midlands, Uk music scene. Emerged in the 1980s era. Associated with Death Metal movement. Known for Metal style.
