"The Head & The Habit" showcases Greenleaf's signature blend of stoner rock and heavy psych, characterized by a rich, layered production that emphasizes both grit and melody. The album features thick, distorted guitar riffs and a robust rhythm section, creating a powerful foundation that drives tracks like "Avalanche" and "A Wolf In My Mind." The tempo varies, with energetic anthems such as "Breathe, Breathe Out" contrasting with the more contemplative "Oh Dandelion." Texturally, the album balances rawness with polished elements, allowing for dynamic shifts that keep the listener engaged. Standout tracks like "That Obsidian Grin" and "The Sirens Sound" highlight the band's ability to weave intricate soundscapes, making this release distinctive in its atmospheric depth.
