"steppa" by goreshit is a frenetic exploration of breakcore, characterized by its chaotic rhythms and eclectic sampling. The album features a blend of rapid-fire drum patterns and distorted basslines, creating an intense sonic landscape. Tracks like "step in" and "raped by the ninja" showcase aggressive tempos and glitchy textures, while "henrietta (gunsteppa mix)" introduces melodic elements that contrast with the frenetic energy. The production is marked by a lo-fi aesthetic, with layered sounds that evoke a sense of urgency and disorientation. The use of vocal snippets and atmospheric pads in pieces like "...into the hands" adds depth, making the album a distinctive experience within the genre. Overall, "steppa" is a visceral journey through fragmented soundscapes and relentless beats.
