"Unrest" presents a raw and aggressive rock sound characterized by gritty guitar riffs and driving percussion. The production style leans towards a lo-fi aesthetic, capturing the visceral energy of the era while maintaining a sense of urgency throughout its tracks. Songs like "Domestic Prison" and "Mass Graves" feature a relentless tempo, with distorted guitars and pounding drums creating a dense sonic texture. The album oscillates between moments of frenetic intensity and more subdued, introspective passages, as heard in "A Life's a Life" and "Reality Distortion." Lyrically charged and sonically abrasive, "Unrest" stands out for its unfiltered expression and the palpable tension woven into each track, making it a distinctive entry in the rock landscape of the '90s.
