"Rivals" showcases a polished blend of alternative rock and pop, characterized by anthemic choruses and driving rhythms. The production is crisp and layered, utilizing dynamic guitar riffs and synth textures that create a vibrant sonic landscape. Tracks like "Streets" and "War" feature energetic tempos and powerful drum patterns, while "Little Light" introduces a more introspective vibe with its melodic nuances. The album balances high-energy tracks with reflective moments, as seen in "Words You Don't Know." The seamless transitions between upbeat anthems and contemplative ballads contribute to its distinctive sound, making "Rivals" a compelling listen that captures both intensity and emotional depth.
