Uncivilized" delivers a gritty blend of post-punk and cold wave, characterized by its raw energy and driving rhythms. The production is sharp and incisive, allowing the angular guitar riffs and pulsating basslines to cut through the mix with clarity. Tracks like "Worries" and "Assassination" showcase a relentless tempo, while the atmospheric textures in songs such as "Dying City" evoke a sense of urgency and tension. The vocal delivery is often urgent and emotive, complementing the stark instrumentation. The album's distinctive sound lies in its ability to fuse the frenetic energy of hardcore with the melodic sensibilities of new wave, creating a compelling sonic landscape that feels both contemporary and timeless.
