"Levellers" features a raw and energetic sound characteristic of early '90s alternative rock infused with punk sensibilities. The production is gritty yet polished, allowing the vibrant instrumentation—acoustic guitars, driving bass lines, and dynamic percussion—to shine through. The album maintains a brisk tempo, with tracks like "15 Years" and "The Game" showcasing an infectious energy that invites participation. Texturally, the music blends folk-inspired melodies with a punk edge, creating a rich tapestry of sound that feels both urgent and celebratory. The distinctiveness of this album lies in its ability to balance anthemic choruses with socially conscious lyrics, all while maintaining a lively, grassroots feel that resonates with its audience.
