"Here in After" showcases Immolation's signature blend of intricate guitar work and relentless rhythms, characteristic of the mid-90s death metal scene. The production is raw yet polished, allowing the dense, layered guitar riffs to cut through the mix with clarity. Tracks like "Nailed to Gold" and "Burn With Jesus" feature a mix of blast beats and slower, crushing tempos, creating a dynamic energy that shifts between frenetic aggression and ominous heaviness. The bass is prominent, adding depth to the overall sound, while the vocals deliver a guttural intensity that complements the dark lyrical themes. The album's distinctiveness lies in its ability to balance technical prowess with an atmospheric, almost haunting quality, making it a standout in the genre.
