Description: Carnivore is the debut album by the Brooklyn Thrash Metal band of the same name. It was released in 1985 by Roadrunner Records. It was released on CD in 1991 without track 5, but with most of Retaliation.

It was reissued on January 23, 2001, and also contained 3 demo tracks (these songs would be officially recorded later to appear on their next album) and had a different album cover.

Artist Background: Carnivore was an American crossover thrash band from Brooklyn, New York by singer and bassist Peter Steele, and was formed out of the breakup of the Brooklyn metal group Fallout in 1982. Carnivore released their self-titled debut album Carnivore in January of 1985. For this album, the band spelled their names in what they thought were "exotic" ways. In September of 1987 they released their second album, Retaliation. Soon after their second album was released, the band broke up and Peter Steel... Part of the Brooklyn, New York, USA music scene. Emerged in the 1980s era. Associated with Thrash Metal movement. Known for Metal style.
