Ikonoklast" delivers a raw and aggressive sonic assault typical of true Norwegian black metal. The production is gritty, enhancing the harshness of the guitars and the relentless blast beats that drive the tempo throughout the album. Each track is characterized by a dense layering of distorted riffs and shrieking vocals, creating an oppressive atmosphere. The instrumentation is tight and precise, with moments of chaotic energy that evoke a sense of impending doom. Textures range from the frenzied urgency of "Cut Their Tongue Shut Their Prayer" to the more haunting elements found in "Sopor Necrosanctus." This album stands out for its uncompromising intensity and a relentless pursuit of darkness, embodying the essence of the genre.
