On their 2008 debut, this Brooklyn trio deliver their caffeinated indie pop in a fidgety flash. "All the Time" rushes in with speedy, steady drums, while "Such a Joke" spins with a Phil Spector–like swirl. Their three-part harmonies remain undeterred, flowing languidly like honey through a salvo of beats and punk guitar, while also adding some girl-group woe to "Where Do You Run To?". The album hits dizzyingly fast, like 10 back-to-back espresso shots, before collapsing in atonality and apathy ("I Believe in Nothing").
