"Album" by Girls showcases a lo-fi, sun-soaked aesthetic that blends elements of indie rock and pop. The production is raw yet polished, featuring jangly guitars and warm, vintage synths that create a nostalgic atmosphere. Tracks like "Lust for Life" and "Hellhole Ratrace" exhibit a buoyant energy, driven by upbeat tempos and catchy melodies, while songs like "Laura" and "Morning Light" introduce a more reflective, melancholic tone. The instrumentation is rich, layering smooth vocal harmonies over a backdrop of shimmering guitars and subtle percussion. This dynamic interplay between upbeat anthems and introspective ballads, combined with a distinctively DIY production style, gives the album its unique charm and texture.
