The album was originally released in 1995, but was re-issued as a digital download on April 30, 2009, with remastering done by Drew Mazurek (producer for Hellyeah, Linkin Park, GWAR and others). A limited edition vinyl (via Play the Assassin Records) was released on May 26, 2009.

Mark Jenkins from The Washington Post criticized Holt's harsh vocals and a lack of variety on the album, although he acknowledged the technical skill and musicianship of the band.
