Everything’s Falling

“I just see death in what is beautiful,” guitarist Daniela Villarreal Vélez sings on <b>“Ritual”</b>, the soaring opener of The Warning’s fifth album. On <i>Everything’s Falling</i>, the Mexican rock trio composed of Daniela and her sisters—Paulina (drums/vocals) and Alejandra (bass/vocals)—join forces with producer and co-writer Anton DeLost for what might be their most eclectic album yet. <b>“Ego”</b> combines guitar skronk with the sisters’ native Spanish for a cool, off-kilter dance vibe. <b>“Kerosene”</b> goes full <i>Alternative Nation</i>, invoking a more streamlined take on the ’90s’ biggest female rockers and falling somewhere between L7 and The Breeders. The bass-driven <b>“Bloodsport”</b> and <b>“Waste Your Time on Me”</b> show off Alejandra’s chops while the fiery <b>“Perfect Daughter”</b> sees Daniela take on an abuser.
