<b>The UK metalcore vets re-record their debut for its 20th anniversary.</b> For the 20th anniversary of their debut album, English metalcore superstars Bring Me the Horizon re-recorded <i>Count Your Blessings</i> in its entirety. Frontman Oli Sykes and guitarist Lee Malia holed up with Swedish producer Buster Odeholm (Humanity’s Last Breath, Vildhjarta) at Sykes’ Brazilian pad to re-envision the band’s 2006 deathcore breakthrough with more modern, expansive production. Most of the tongue-in-cheek song titles, like <b>“Tell Slater Not to Wash His Dick”</b> and <b>“For Stevie Wonder’s Eyes Only (Braille)”</b> remain, although fan favourite <b>“Liquor & Love Lost”</b> appears under its original title, <b>“Dragon Slaying”.</b> <b>Our Favourite Track:</b> The <i>Repented</i> version of the album closes with <b>“Dehumanized”,</b> a newly recorded bonus track partly inspired by Argentine author Agustina Bazterrica’s 2017 novel, <i>Tender Is the Flesh</i>, which imagines a world where all animal meat has been contaminated and cannibalism becomes legal.
