Artist Background: The Swedish hard rock band Madison was born in the ashes of a band called Regent which had won a talent contest in Hudiksvall on October 25th, 1981, where the first prize was the recording of a single. They recorded a 45 with the tracks "Lay Down Your Arms" and "Changes" and signed with Rixi Records before splitting up. Bass player Conny Sundqvist and guitarist Dan Stomberg joined another local act called Destiny before forming Madison. They recorded their debut album and it did not take long... Part of the Hudiksvall, Gävleborg music scene. Emerged in the 1980s era. Associated with Heavy Metal movement.
