Description: The Living End is the final release by American punk rock band Hüsker Dü, A live album, it was recorded at various venues throughout October 1987, but not released until 1994 by the major label Warner Bros.. It spans the band's entire recorded output, from "Data Control" off Land Speed Record, the band's debut, to a number of songs from the band's last studio album, Warehouse: Songs and Stories. There are also some unreleased tracks and a cover of the pioneering punk rock band Ramones' "Sheena Is a Punk Rocker."

Artist Background: Hüsker Dü (/ˈhʊskərˈduː/) was an American rock band formed in Saint Paul, Minnesota in 1979. The band's continual members were guitarist/vocalist Bob Mould, bassist Greg Norton, and drummer/vocalist Grant Hart. Hüsker Dü first gained notice as a hardcore punk band with thrashing tempos and screamed vocals. The band developed a more melodic musical style as they drifted away from their early sound, helping to develop the alternative rock sound in the process. Mould and Hart split the ...
