Synesthesia

Canadian rockers Courage My Love cut their teeth on the Warped Tour circuit, but the darkly catchy anthems and ballads on their debut are made for the dance floor as well as the mosh pit. Mercedes Arn-Horn’s acrobatic soprano bellows over the chaotic synth-rock of “Walls” and snakes through the funk-tinged pop of “Need Someone”, while the dramatic “Drowning” underscores her proclamations of devotion with agitated riffing. Defined by gloomy vibes and sticky hooks, and led by Arn-Horn’s swaggering charisma, Synesthesia is a confident, surprising showcase for this young trio’s massive potential.
