Vindicate

<b>Revenge and vindication are the themes of Black Veil Brides’ seventh album.</b> Opening soliloquy <b>“Invocation to the Muse”</b> sets the dramatic tone with a church organ and paean to vengeance. It segues into the incongruous calliope that kicks off <b>“Vindicate”</b>, a song that sees Andy Biersack delivering a Broadway-style chorus over detuned nu metal. Advance singles <b>“Certainty”</b> and <b>“Bleeders”</b> serve up the kind of anthemic, radio-ready modern rock that BVB have built their considerable success upon. <b>“Revenger”</b> thrives on a slick groove-metal riff that could easily be an homage to the song’s guest vocalist, Robb Flynn of Machine Head. Lastly, piano-driven micro-ballad <b>“Eschaton”</b> closes the album with a plaintive denouement.
