Legion: XX

Reclaiming their provocative old moniker—Burn the Priest—for this one-off covers album, Virginian metal kings Lamb of God pay tribute to their early influences. As such, the band tears through pummelling versions of hardcore punk favourites like Bad Brains’ “I Against I”, Cro-Mags’ “We Gotta Know” and Agnostic Front’s “One Voice” with maximum precision and intensity. But they also bring an aggressive metal edge to unexpected ’90s gems like Melvins’ “Honey Bucket”, Quicksand’s “Dine Alone” and Ministry’s “Jesus Built My Hotrod”.
