"The Crimson Corridor" showcases Zao's signature blend of metalcore with a raw, visceral production style that enhances its emotional intensity. The album features a dynamic range of tempos, oscillating between blistering fast-paced tracks like "Into the Jaws of Dread" and more atmospheric pieces such as "The Final Ghost." Instrumentation is characterized by heavy, downtuned guitars layered with intricate riffs and aggressive drumming, creating a dense sonic texture. The use of dissonant chords and haunting melodies, particularly in tracks like "Croatoan" and "Lost Star," adds depth and complexity. The production captures a gritty authenticity, allowing the energy of the performances to resonate powerfully, making it a distinctive entry in the genre.
