"Curious Volume" showcases a raw and powerful sound, characteristic of traditional doom metal. The production is gritty yet polished, allowing the heavy guitar riffs and thunderous drums to dominate the mix. Tracks like "Lay Down and Die" and "The Tempter Push" feature slow to mid-tempo rhythms, creating a dense atmosphere that is both haunting and hypnotic. The instrumentation is rich, with layered guitar harmonies and a prominent bass presence that adds depth to the overall texture. Songs like "Sufferin'" and "The Devil's Playground" highlight a dynamic range, oscillating between crushing heaviness and melodic interludes. The album's distinctive quality lies in its ability to blend classic doom elements with a contemporary edge, making it a compelling listen for genre enthusiasts.
