Album: Cenizas by Nicolas Jaar (2020)
Genre: Electronic
Format: Album

Description: "Cenizas" is the fifth studio album by American electronic music artist Nicolas Jaar, released March 27th, 2020 on the Other People label.
Returning to the more experimental side of his craft, Jaar seems as focused and daring as he's ever sounded on his fifth LP, Cenizas. Recorded between 2017 and 2019 (the same period during which he put together his last A.A.L. LP), Jaar comes off adventurous and wide-eyed, not only in the approach to his music, but in every other possible manner: instrumentation, structure, mood, mode.

Artist Background: Nicolas Jaar, one of the least predictable and most experimental dance music producers of the late 2000s and early 2010s, was born in New York but spent much of his early childhood in Santiago de Chile -- the birthplace of his father, Alfredo Jaar, an artist and filmmaker -- until he moved back to New York before his teens. In 2004, while under the spell of Ethiopian jazz and Erik Satie, Jaar began to feel his way through music production and made something of a breakthrough after his father ... Emerged in the 1990s era. Associated with Electronic movement.

Music Scene: Emerged in the 1990s era. Associated with Electronic movement.
