Somery

Descendents dedicated themselves fully to the deeply important work of examining the inner spiritual life of suburban, adolescent dweebs. They spent the '80s crafting the template for pop-punk and melodic hardcore, and Somery compiles the highlights from their initial run. Come for the 13-second paeans to fast food ("Weinerschnitzel"), stay for the introspective explorations of youthful heartache ("Clean Sheets"), the soaring alienation anthems ("Suburban Home") and the sugar-pop odes to head-spinning crushes ("Get the Time").
