It goes without saying that RJmrLA reps his city to the fullest on this album of low-riding West Coast party raps, with plenty of assists from G-funk minimalist DJ Mustard. “Blammer” is a classic Mustard beat: a lean, upbeat club number in which RJ borrows Nate Dogg-inspired melodies to warn haters that he’s 10 steps ahead of them. Driving home the West Coast worship, “Hennebeeto” gives a “Gin and Juice” sample a modern makeover, with a brown-liquor-soaked guest verse from ScHoolboy Q.
