"Level 9" by Talamasca embodies the vibrant essence of 2014 trance, characterized by its driving basslines and euphoric synth melodies. The production is polished, showcasing a blend of layered textures that create a rich sonic landscape. Tracks like "Decisive Action" and "Running Blade" feature pulsating rhythms and uplifting arpeggios, while "Twilight Zone State" introduces a darker, more atmospheric quality. The album maintains a steady tempo, ideal for dance floors, yet offers moments of introspection, particularly in "Remote Viewing." The energy fluctuates seamlessly, with tracks like "We Are Freedom" delivering anthemic climaxes. Overall, "Level 9" stands out for its intricate sound design and the ability to evoke both exhilaration and contemplation.
