Breathing Salt" presents a dense electronic soundscape characterized by layered synths and pulsating rhythms. The production is polished, with a focus on creating immersive textures that oscillate between dark and ethereal. Tracks like "Evaporate" and "Something Is Terribly Wrong" feature driving beats interspersed with haunting melodies, while "The Black Octopus Carousel" introduces a playful yet unsettling atmosphere. The tempo varies throughout, maintaining an energetic pulse that invites movement, yet the overall mood remains introspective. Distinctive elements include the use of distorted vocal samples and intricate sound design, which contribute to a sense of unease and depth, making the album a compelling exploration of electronic music's darker corners.
