"Monsters Exist" showcases Orbital's signature blend of intricate electronic textures and driving techno rhythms. The album pulses with energetic beats, characterized by a rich tapestry of layered synths and dynamic soundscapes. Tracks like "Hoo Hoo Ha Ha" and "P.H.U.K." feature playful, glitchy elements that contrast with the deeper, more atmospheric moments found in "Buried Deep Within" and "A Long Way From Home." The production is crisp and polished, allowing each sonic layer to breathe while maintaining a relentless tempo that keeps the energy high. Distinctive for its eclectic use of samples and evolving motifs, the album captures a sense of both urgency and introspection, making it a compelling addition to the electronic landscape.

Monsters Exist retains several hallmarks of the classic Orbital sound, but it isn't an album for '90s rave nostalgia purists pining for another "Belfast" or "Halcyon." Instead, it continues their tradition of making forward-thinking albums which reflect the present but glance excitedly, cautiously, and fearlessly into the future.
