Top DJ Ferry Corsten explores his interest in space and science on the concept album <i>Blueprint</i>, which pairs sci-fi–inspired vocal trance with a cinematic narrative from Campbell Scott. Panoramic synth swells and spotlessly futuristic production provide a background for characters Lukas and Vee as they embark on a fantastic voyage through EDM galaxies. HALIENE adds suitably angelic yet alien trills on the thrillingly expansive "Wherever You Are", while "Drum's a Weapon" shows that chugging '90s-style progressive can be unexpectedly transporting.
