On their debut album, MUNA deliver politically charged power pop with an awesome ‘80s spin. Radiating with activist energy—they address women’s rights (“Loudspeaker”), abusive relationships (“Crying on the Bathroom Floor”) and national tragedies (“I Know a Place”, a tender ballad written about the Orlando shooting)—and luscious electronica, About U is a no-brainer for fans of Fleetwood Mac and Chairlift.
