Dust

Creed’s founding guitarist Mark Tremonti moves into aggressive spaces with the band that shares his surname, splitting between speed metal and uplifting rock on Dust. Riffs rule on “Rising Storm” and “Tore My Heart Out.” “Never Wrong” and the title track allow space to catch one’s breath, while “Betray Me” and “Once Dead” churn like quicksand, Tremonti matching the menacing pace with studied focus.
