Feeding the Crawling Shadows" envelops listeners in a raw and oppressive soundscape characteristic of Finnish black metal. The production is deliberately lo-fi, enhancing the album's grim atmosphere while allowing the relentless tremolo riffs and blast beats to pierce through the murk. Each track, from the haunting "In Charnel Dreams" to the menacing "Return of the Rats," showcases a blend of mid to fast tempos, creating a sense of urgency and despair. The instrumentation is dense, with layered guitars weaving intricate melodies over a relentless rhythmic foundation, while the vocals deliver a visceral, anguished performance. This album stands out for its ability to evoke a chilling sense of desolation and darkness, making it a compelling listen for fans of the genre.
