These 11 lushly arranged songs explore lyrical themes of homecoming, family, faith, and forgiveness over a backdrop of rich, symphonic folk-rock. Elements of neo-soul, electronic pop, and even hip-hop texture Garrels' music, which is anchored by his strong, passionate voice. Home is the follow-up to his critically acclaimed 2011 album and subsequent documentary Love & War & the Sea in Between.

Artist Background: Josh Garrels is a singer-songwriter living in Portland, Oregon who self-produces all of his own albums. He is known for vulnerability and authenticity in his music, infusion of traditional folk music with hip-hop elements, and nontraditional exploration of Christian themes. His first two albums are no longer available due to the large amount of copyrighted sampling on them. After marrying his wife, Michelle, in 2005, they started Small Voice Records where they released his third, fourth, and ... Part of the South Bend,Indiana,USA music scene. Emerged in the 2000s era.
