Album: As Family We Go by Rend Collective (2015)
Genre: Christian | Style: Religious
Record Label: Rend Collective
Format: Album

Description: Rend Collective is a fast-rising Christian folk-rock outfit from Northern Ireland with a penchant for soaring arrangements and surging choruses. Their fifth studio full-length—As Family We Go—is a beautifully crafted collection of worship songs that spans an impressive variety of styles—from velvety soul to winsome ukulele tunes. While the surf-spackled pop-punk of “Celebrate” teems with guitars that jitter and glisten, “Free as a Bird” recalls the hilly rhythms and thunderous stomp of Mumford & Sons.

Artist Background: A movement of friends is a hard thing to package. When something happens locally that is real and sincere, it probably doesn't need the hype that the music industry can sometimes bring. The Rend Collective Experiment started in 2004 as a group of confused 20 somethings trying to figure out life, God and community. Then in 2007 it grew into a collective of musicians and artists trying to share with the world what they were learning. Music grown out of an "organic environment" and a bond betwee... Emerged in the 2000s era. Known for Religious style.

Music Scene: Emerged in the 2000s era. Known for Religious style.
