Latina

Gracefully playing with salsa, reggaeton and boleros, the pop powerhouse glows with attitude and conviction on her thirteenth studio album, the boldly titled Latina. Like a soundtrack from the golden age of Mexican cinema, Thalía’s magnetic vocals exude a nostalgic romanticism in the balada-infused “Poquita Fe” and in the Cuban jazz-inspired “Enemigos” she exercises her signature alluring vibrato. She cranks up the jaunty opener “Desde Esa Noche” with infectious Caribbean rhythms, and the celebratory “De Ti” is pure dance floor material.
