.Stomachaches." presents a raw and energetic rock sound characterized by gritty guitar riffs and punchy rhythms. The production is polished yet retains an edge, allowing the emotional weight of the lyrics to resonate through the mix. Tracks like "All I Want Is Nothing" and "Stage 4 Fear of Trying" feature dynamic shifts in tempo, creating a sense of urgency and introspection. The instrumentation blends distorted guitars with driving drums, while moments of melodic clarity emerge in tracks like "She's the Prettiest Girl at the Party, And She Can Prove It with a Solid Right Hook." The album's distinctive texture lies in its balance of anthemic choruses and confessional verses, making it a compelling listen throughout.
