The album was recorded in lead singer Ritzy Bryan's old family home, outside Mold in Wales. In difference to their last album, mostly recorded on the road while touring, they went underground and took their time for Hitch.

The band consists of Ritzy Bryan (lead vocals, guitar), Rhydian Dafydd (bass, backing vocals), and Matt Thomas (drums, percussion). Childhood friends Ritzy Bryan and bassist Rhydian Dafydd originally played together as part of Manchester band Tricky Nixon, which later reformed into Sidecar Kisses.
