A deluxe reissue of the album was released by Merge Records in 2011.
The album was recorded and mixed in seven days. According to Eric Bachmann, "We spent like $5,000 to make it."

Artist Background: Archers of Loaf is an indie rock band which formed in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, United States in 1991 . The band consisted of Eric Bachmann (vocals, guitar), Eric Johnson (guitar), Matt Gentling (bass) and Mark Price (drums). The band released four albums before splitting in 1998. After the band's split, Bachmann moved onto multiple solo projects, including Barry Black and Crooked Fingers, and Gentling toured with Superchunk as an additional instrumentalist. The band reunited in 2011 and s... Emerged in the 1990s era. Associated with Indie Rock movement.
