"Of Ghosts and Gods" presents a visceral blend of death metal characterized by its aggressive tempos and intricate guitar work. The production is polished yet retains a raw edge, allowing the dense, layered instrumentation to shine through. Each track features thunderous drumming and guttural vocals that drive the energy forward, creating a relentless atmosphere. Songs like "Breaching the Asylum" and "Marching Through Graveyards" showcase a dynamic range, oscillating between blast beats and slower, crushing riffs. The album's textures are enriched by melodic interludes, providing contrast to the overall ferocity. Distinctive for its balance of brutality and melody, this record encapsulates the essence of modern death metal with a powerful sonic presence.
