Streets of New York by Willie Nile

Streets of New York

Willie Nile

Released: 2006

"Streets of New York" is the fifth full length studio album by New York City based singer/songwriter Willie Nile, released February 21, 2006 through Evangeline Records. This is Nile’s tribute to the city that gave him international exposure to the music world through the critical eyes and ears of the New York Times. The album is a portrait of the maze of iron, stone, and people that makes New York so unique, while mocking its opulence; still Nile always finds his way back home to the “Streets of New York”. Luke Torn of Uncut magazine wrote: "Streets Of New York is the New-Normal, post-9/11 album no-one else dared write - epic and prophetic.
