"Kolme" showcases a robust rock sound characterized by gritty guitar riffs and dynamic rhythms. The production is polished yet retains an edge, allowing the raw energy of the instrumentation to shine through. Tracks like "Paha, paha asia" and "Voiko tämä olla mahdollista" feature driving tempos and anthemic choruses that evoke a sense of urgency. The album balances heavier moments with more introspective tracks such as "Mato," creating a varied sonic landscape. Textures range from distorted guitars to layered vocals, enhancing the emotional weight of the lyrics. The distinctive blend of melodic hooks and aggressive instrumentation positions "Kolme" as a compelling entry in the Finnish rock scene of the late '90s.
