Description: Extinct is the tenth full-length album by the Portuguese gothic metal band Moonspell, released on 6 March 2015 in several versions with a different cover for each (jewel case, LTD deluxe box, mediabook, gatefold LP).
The album was recorded at Fascination Street Studios, and was produced and mixed by Jens Bogren. The cover artwork was designed by Seth Siro Anton. It includes a guest bozuoukitara performance by Yossi Sassi on the track "Medusalem". Also, on that same track, before the guitar solo starts, another guest artist, Mahafsoun, narrates the chorus in the Persian language.

Artist Background: Moonspell is a Portuguese heavy metal band. Formed in 1992, the group released their first EP Under the Moonspell in 1994, a year before the release of their first album Wolfheart. The band quickly gained status and became one of the most recognizable metal bands from Portugal. Moonspell reached the Portuguese top first with their album Sin/Pecado, and were, along with Metallica and Iron Maiden, the only metal band to reach the first place of the Portuguese charts after the release of their a... Part of the Brandoa, Amadora, Portugal music scene. Emerged in the 1990s era. Associated with Metal movement. Known for Rock/Pop style.
