"Ache" presents a raw and abrasive soundscape, characteristic of Foetus' industrial and post-punk roots. The production is lo-fi yet meticulously crafted, featuring a collage of distorted guitars, clattering percussion, and unsettling samples that create a sense of chaos. Tracks like "Dying With My Boots On" and "Get Out of My House" showcase a frenetic energy, driven by aggressive tempos and jagged rhythms. The instrumentation often oscillates between harsh noise and melodic undercurrents, with tracks such as "Wholesome Town" introducing a more subdued, eerie atmosphere. The album's distinctive texture lies in its juxtaposition of visceral sound and darkly humorous themes, making it a compelling exploration of discomfort and dissonance.
