Read Only Memory" presents a raw and experimental sound that intertwines post-punk and industrial elements. The production is characterized by a gritty, lo-fi aesthetic that enhances its noise-driven textures. Tracks like "You Can't See Them, They Can't Touch You" and "Inacontact" feature distorted guitar riffs and pulsating rhythms, creating an unsettling yet captivating atmosphere. The use of unconventional instrumentation and layered effects contributes to a psychedelic quality, while the tempo varies, oscillating between frenetic energy and more subdued moments. The album's distinctive sonic palette is marked by its willingness to embrace chaos, making it a compelling exploration of the boundaries of alternative music.
