"The Triumphs and Travails of Orphan Mae" is the second studio album by Laura Veirs, originally self-released in 2001 on the Raven Marching Band Records label. The album loosely tells the story of a girl wandering around the American West, with Veirs using different points of view to convey the sense of loneliness, beauty, longing, and adventure that comes with such a voyage. It was subsequently re-released under the Bella Union label on February 21, 2005.
